Global Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd.(GRI) has named Maury Shnier its sales and marketing director for the Americas. He was previously with Camso Inc., where he held the post of executive director of sales and operations for the Material Handling Aftermarket Division in Canada and the U.S.
Prior to that, Shnier was managing director at the former Solideal Canada Inc. from 2009 to 2013. He was chief operating officer and general manager for the Accurate Group of Companies from 2006 to 2009.
With the grand opening of its specialty tire factory in Sri Lanka in January 2018, GRI said it will be significantly expanding its agriculture and construction tire offerings in North America. Shnier will be responsible for expanding the company's sales, distribution and dealer network to coincide with the increase in supply.
"Having seen their existing products in the market and witnessed their strong relationships, I look forward to ensuring the company continues that momentum as it branches out into new products and territories,” said Shnier.
"As we continue to grow and expand our reach, senior professionals such as Maury will ensure that we do so diligently and rapidly in the Americas,” said GRI Managing Director Prabhash Subasinghe.
Shnier is the second key sales director hired in November. On Nov. 1, the company named Kurt Verbrugge sales director responsible for the European region. Verbrugge also joins the company directly from Camso, where he served as OEM sales director of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Agriculture Division.
