Hunter Releases Safety System Alignment Videos at the SEMA Show
Hunter Engineering Co. has released two educational videos about Safety System Alignment that explain the purpose and function of driver assist systems and the importance of proper mechanical and safety system alignment. Hunter is showcasing the videos at its booth at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, #41029, going on now in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“Of the approximately 15 million vehicles registered in the U.S. in 2015, almost one-third of these vehicles have the option of being equipped with driver assist system technology, so it is very important for shops to understand proper reset procedures,” says Kaleb Silver, Hunter Engineering senior product manager. “Hunter is committed to providing educational materials like our new Safety System Alignment videos to the public.”Today, driver assist systems are the fastest growing vehicle technology and yet are often a mystery to vehicle owners, the company notes. These systems, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Brake Assist, increase driver safety by using cameras and radar to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings and help drivers avoid collisions.
Failure to properly align safety systems can result in dashboard warning lights, steering wheel vibration, vehicle pull or increased steering effort. Driver assist systems can even malfunction or shut down. Automotive service professionals click here to learn more about Safety System Alignment.
