Tanner Foust On A Roll

Oct. 10, 2017

Fresh from a pair of wins in Seattle, Rockstar Energy Drink driver Tanner Foust is hoping to keep up the momentum as the 2017 Global Rallycross Championship returns this weekend to Los Angeles for its exciting finale.

"Rallycross is so unpredictable that you can't know what's going to happen until it does. I was leading this championship heading into this race last year and I couldn't make it stick," said Foust. "You can bet I'm looking for redemption this weekend."

Foust has the title in reach with just one race remaining this season. His record of four wins and three second-place podiums in 11 races puts him second in the points -- just 30 points behind teammate Scott Speed. There are 81 points on offer this weekend.

Foust and Speed each have two series titles to their names and they are tied in the record books for all-time wins since the current series owner took over in 2013. Both drivers can be expected to fight hard this weekend.

"We're respectful of each other on the course but we're both going for that top step of the podium," said Foust. "There's only room for one and if it has to be Scott or me, I choose to be the one standing there."

Volkswagen has already mathematically secured the Manufacturer's Championship title this season. In addition to Foust and Speed, driver Steve Arpin has an outside chance at the driver's title.
