Hankook and Sporting News Partner In World Series Contest

Aug. 31, 2017

Hankook Tire America Corp. will award a pair of 2017 World Series tickets and round-trip airfare and lodging to the winner of its SN50 sweepstakes. The contest began August 25 and extends through the third week in October.

Hankook is partnering with Sporting News, the website and former print magazine known as the “Bible of Baseball” in the sweepstakes.

To enter the sweepstakes, baseball lovers vote for their favorite rising baseball stars in a poll tied to the Sporting News SN50, a list of the best players in baseball as selected by a panel of baseball experts. Fans can access the poll and other content here.

Entrants are also eligible to receive Hankook gift cards and baseball caps.

Hankook says its SN50 series will live in a dynamic customized hub that highlights each player using imagery, statistics and content. The series culminates with a Sporting News Award presented by Hankook to the top player.

“The passion of Major League Baseball fans is season-long, from the fervor of opening day to the triumph of the trophy presentation,” says Hankook Public Relations Manager Wes Boling. “Hankook enjoys honoring fans’ enduring spirit by letting them get close to the action.”

Headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., Hankook markets and distributes a complete line of high-performance and ultra-high-performance passenger tires, light truck and SUV tires and medium truck and bus tires in the United States.

Sporting News has long been known as “The Bible of Baseball,” covering the sport for more than 130 years. SN’s baseball awards hold a particular prestige within the Major League Baseball community, as the SN Player of the Year Award dates back to 1936 and is the oldest award given to a single player.
