Ziegler Tire's Herbert C. Ziegler Foundation Awards 21 Scholarships

Aug. 31, 2017

The Herbert C. Ziegler Foundation has awarded $31,500 in scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year. The foundation was started by Herb and his son, Bill Ziegler, in 1994, shortly before the elder Ziegler died.

Scholarships are awarded to children of employees of Ziegler Tire & Supply Co. and related companies who are seeking post-secondary education. This year, 21 students received scholarships.

Herbert had been with the company since the 1920s. "He liked supporting schools and helping people go to college or advance their education," says Bill, president of Ziegler Tire and Modern Tire Dealer's 2009 Tire Dealer of the Year.

The Herbert C. Ziegler Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarship funds since its inception.
