Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., the parent company of Yokohama Tire Corp., has joined RubberNetwork.com.
RubberNetwork.com is an independent company that focuses on purchasing services for tire manufacturers, plus e-catalogs and auctions, proposal and quote requests and supply chain management solutions.
It was created last October, launched earlier this month and includes Continental Tire AG, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Groupe Michelin, Pirelli SpA and Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
Yokohama expects to expand its supplier base and improve supply chain efficiencies for raw materials through the collaborative effort, whose Web site is at www.rubbernetwork.com.
