Kumho Will Increase Prices Up To 6% on Oct. 1

Sept. 12, 2018

Prices of Kumho brand passenger, light truck and medium truck tires sold in the U.S. will increase by up to 6% on Oct. 1, 2018.

Kumho Tire USA Inc. says percentage increases will vary by SKU.

The price adjustment reflects economic factors such as increased raw material costs, according to Shawn Denlein, executive vice president of sales and marketing.

“We are committed to the profitability of our dealers and will make sure all increases are supported by the retail market,” Denlein told dealers in a letter announcing the increase.

In a press release, the company said it is “fully committed to its continuous development of products and maintenance on exceptional services even with the increased cost of production” and it is “confident that the price increase will ultimately benefit the customer experience.”
