Redesigned 2019 Subaru Forester Will Roll on Falken Tires

Aug. 30, 2018

Falken Tire Corp. continues to focus on original equipment fitments, and has secured another one. Subaru of America Inc. has selected the Falken Ziex ZE001 All-Season tire as its pick for the redesigned 2019 Forester. The Forester has gotten a makeover inside and out, and in its fifth generation the vehicle will also be available in a new Sport model.

Falken's Ziex ZE001 All-Season tires, in size P225/55R18 - 98H, will be manufactured at Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.'s Thailand plant. From there, the tires will be delivered to the Subaru factory in Japan where the Forester is built, in preparation for the vehicle’s North American release in fall 2018.

“Subaru is enjoying tremendous sales across the U.S., and Falken Tires is excited to be able to contribute in meeting this demand,” says David Colletti, vice president of original equipment for Falken. “The redesigned Forester and its all-road capability will be a great match to our Falken Ziex ZE001 All-Season tire. Subaru continues its consecutive months of 40,000-plus vehicle sales, and as an original equipment partner, Falken is intent on helping build upon that record.”

The Ziex ZE001 All-Season tires feature four circumferential grooves to evacuate water, enhance hydroplane resistance and stability in wet conditions. The chamfered tread block corners support even wear throughout the tire’s life, and a solid center rib targets excellent handling response.
