2 BFGoodrich Lines Add Police Fitments

Aug. 13, 2018

Michelin North America Inc. is expanding the use of two of its most popular passenger and light truck tire lines from BFGoodrich to fitments for police vehicles.

The police fitments of the BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S and BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sport are designed and made in the U.S. and are on the U.S. Government’s Cooperative Approved Tire List (CATL), which lists tires capable of handling police duties.

The BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sport is available in three CATL-approved sizes. Michelin says internal and third-party testing shows the all-season tire has 12% better wet braking, 15% better snow traction, 15% better dry handling and 25% better tread wear than the tire's previous generation.

The BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S is a CATL-approved ultra-high-performance all-season tire that Michelin's internal testing shows accelerates faster with better wet and dry traction compared to leading competitors, and also stops up to 15 feet shorter on wet roads and up to five feet shorter on dry roads vs. leading competitors. A third-party test shows the tire offers better snow traction compared to leading competitors.
