Ohio dealer adds store

Feb. 13, 2001

Columbus, Ohio-area tire dealer Keith Boyd is building a new store that will open in April.

The $1.3 million outlet, Boyd's Polaris Tire & Service, will boast 10 full-service bays and employ 12 to 16 people, according to owner Keith Boyd.

Like the dealer's other facilities in suburban Columbus, Boyd's Northgate Tire & Service and Boyd's Eastpointe Tire & Service, the new shop will sell Goodyear brand passenger and light truck tires under the Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker's Gemini banner.

Boyd's stores reported $3 million in sales last year. They've been open less than five years.
