TireHub LLC is a go. The joint venture for passenger and light truck tire distribution between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Bridgestone Americas Inc. will begin serving customers the first week of July. The tire makers say all of the required regulatory authorities have approved the deal. The transaction is expected to close at the end of June.
In a joint press release, the companies say TireHub will provide U.S. tire dealers and retailers "with a comprehensive range of passenger and light truck tires from two of the world’s leading tire companies, with an emphasis on satisfying rapidly growing demand for larger rim diameter premium tires."
TireHub will combine Goodyear’s company-owned wholesale distribution network with Bridgestone-owned Tire Wholesale Warehouse (TWW).
The joint venture also has launched a website: www.tirehub.com.
