Plaza Tire Service Inc. has opened a third store in Springfield, Mo. The family-owned company headquartered in Cape Girardeau, Mo., now has 63 stores.
Founded in 1963, Plaza Tire Service is celebrating 55 years with the opening of its newest Springfield store. The company says it has experienced steady growth for more than half a century thanks to a focus on three key factors: service, selection and price.
The new store is located at 2811 South Campbell in Springfield. “The layout of this store has proven to work well for us,” says Scott Rhodes, vice president of Plaza Tire Service. “The showroom has televisions and WiFi available for customers, and it features large windows overlooking the bays so customers can see their vehicles while work is performed.”
The new South Campbell location in Springfield is approximately 8,650 square feet and features eight bays. Ten people are employed at this location.
Plaza Tire Service stocks a wide array of tires from top name brands, including Bridgestone, Michelin, Firestone, BFGoodrich, Yokohama, Falken, Nokian, Dick Cepek, Hankook and more.
Plaza Tire Service has outfitted the shop with state-of-the-art equipment, including the Quick Check vehicle inspection system by Hunter Engineering Co., which streamlines the initial inspection of various vehicle systems, including tread depth, alignment and brake force. In addition to tires, the company also provides brake jobs, shock and strut replacements, oil changes, battery replacements and other services.
Plaza Tire Service opened its first Springfield location in spring 2017 at 2867 East Sunshine Street. The second Plaza Tire Service location in Springfield opened at 3820 West Sunshine Street in August 2017.
