David Russ, former public relations team member for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., has died. He was 71.
Russ was born on Sept. 6, 1946, in Canandaigua, N.Y., to the late Clement and Connie (Reynolds) Russ. He died March 13, 2018.
Russ graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1964, attended Ohio University and graduated from Kent State University. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1968. His service was honored by a veteran pinning ceremony the day he died.
He is survived by his wife, Helen. He also leaves behind children Beth Russ (Aaron), Jackie Stillwagon (Scott), John (Natasha), and Michael (Trishina). He is also survived by brothers, Carl (Lettie) and Ed (Betsy); and sister, Anne (Jim) Somplack.
