Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that they will continue sponsoring Mr. Yoshihide Muroya and Team Falken as they compete in the ultimate high-speed motorsport: the "Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2018."
This is the fourth consecutive year of supporting Mr. Muroya, who won the World Champion title in 2017.
Mr. Muroya is once again the only pilot from Asia competing in the Master Class of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. After having his race plane decked out in Falken Motorsports colors from the second race of last year's tournament, Mr. Muroya went on to win four of his eight races in the series, including the race held in Chiba in his home country of Japan. As a result of his strong performance throughout the season, he accomplished the momentous feat of becoming the first Asian pilot to win the World Champion title.
