Kumho Leverages NBA Partnership with Fan Video Contest

Jan. 27, 2018

Kumho Tire USA Inc. is partnering with Washington Wizards all-star point guard John Wall as part of an "exciting fan program" leading into the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

The game will be held Feb. 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The program, called “Hip Hop Handles,” is a call to action for National Basketball Association fans to showcase their abilities in a nationwide ball-handling competition. Fans are invited to join the competition by:

1. creating a 30-second ball-handling video set to one of two pre-selected hip-hop tracks, and

2. submitting their videos on www.kumhohandles.com.

Prior to the All-Star Game, Wall will create his own Hip-Hop Handles video, officially calling on all fans to participate and show off their own style and dribbling abilities. Kumho Tire has already teamed up with  And1 Mix Tape street ball legend Philip “Hot Sauce” Champion to create a video showcasing his skills. The video also can be seen on Kumho's website.

At the conclusion of the program, two fans will be selected as winners and will receive an all-expense paid, VIP trip to NBA All-Star weekend in L.A. The winners (and one guest) will get tickets to all the weekend’s events, including the celebrity game, skills challenges, and the 2018 All-Star game.
