Reifen 2012, which takes place June 5-8, 2012, at Messe Essen, Germany, will feature a celebrity appearance at its opening ceremonies. Former German Minister of Finance Peer Steinbrück is scheduled to speak at the event.

The show’s sponsors include Germany’s Federal Association of the Tire Trade and the Vulcanizers' Skilled Trade. Both groups support and promote the event, while companies are confirming the significance of Reifen to their sector.

"The interest beyond the German borders is simply greatest here,” said Goran Zubanovic, managing director of GD Handelssysteme GmbH. “A lot of foreign visitors, also precisely tire dealers from other countries, are interested in the landscape in the German specialized trade and allow us to hold canvassing discussions for countries in which our Premio concept is also represented over large areas in the meantime.”

In October Reifen organizers announced record registrations.
