Federal Corp. has been very aggressive the last few months. The Taiwan-based tire manufacturer has made news on three continents: Europe, Australia and Asia.

In Europe, the company announced it was preparing the first shipment of the new Federal Formoza AZ01 to Van den Ban Autobanden B.V. (VDB). The order marks the company’s first move into Europe.

The premium touring tire, which is designed for leading touring coupes and sedans, features an asymmetrical tread pattern with uniquely inner curved groove walls that help evacuate water quickly. It will be available in sizes 225/50R17 98W XL and 225/55R17 101W XL in December.

Henry Lin, director of the global sales division, says the tire meets European environmental regulations.

In Queensland, Australia, Federal is partnering with Neta Tire Service for the distribution of motorsports racing tires.

“We at are very excited to be working with Neta in Australia as it is an increasingly important market for us due to the very attractive proportion of sports cars and track events on and off the roads here,” says Taz Yeh, Federal’s motorsports project manager.

In Asia, Federal’s Hero line will be original equipment on the new Luxgen SUV7. Produced by Luxgen Motor Co. in Taiwan and targeted for sale in Mainland China, the vehicle will be fitted with Hero’s flagship Dynastorm Highway Commuter tire in size 235/55R18 100V.

“Expanding our business with the automobile manufacturer of Taiwan heritage like Luxgen enables us to cater to the demands of the growing automotive sector,” says Lin. “It not only strengthens our position as an international player, but also proves that Hero Tire is being recognized for its technological prowess and quality in the global market.”
