‘Forbes’ list loves Love’s: Travel Stops No. 7

Nov. 17, 2011

“Forbes” has placed Love’s Travel Stops at No. 7 on its list of America’s Largest Private Companies. Love’s made the biggest move on the list of 212 companies, jumping 11 spots from last year’s ranking of No. 18.

Companies on the “Forbes” list of America’s Largest Private Companies must make at least $2 billion in revenues, have more than 100 employees and may not be more than 50% owned by another public, private or foreign company. Mutually owned companies are excluded from the list.

Love’s ranking on the “Forbes” list is attributed to tremendous growth over the past year. In addition to acquiring 26 travel stops as a result of the Pilot Flying J merger in 2010, Love’s will close 2011 with 19 new travel stops across the country. This week the company opened a Travel Stop in Indiana.

“We invested resources on new construction and adding enhancements to current locations this year,” said Tom Love, chairman and CEO of Love’s. “Love’s is committed to providing the highest quality facilities and delivering exceptional customer service to the driving public. Our growth and success is a testament to the hard work and dedication For more information visit www.loves.com.
