Del-Nat Tire Corp. has announced a partnership with Qingdao Doublestar (Doublestar) Industrial Co. Ltd. of Qingdao, China. The partnership is intended to establish Doublestar’s first North American distribution center in Memphis.
Doublestar is the 21st largest tire manufacturer in the world. Del-Nat will warehouse Doublestar brand medium-sized steel radial heavy-duty truck tires in its Memphis facilities.
Doublestar will rely on Del-Nat capabilities and services for warehouse space, logistics expertise and logistics technology. Doublestar Tire will manage all sales and customer activities with their brand. Del-Nat’s 486,000-square-foot facility is at 2365 Texas Drive in South Memphis.
“The tire business is truly an international industry, with products sourced, produced and distributed by companies from around the world to locations around the world,” said Jim Mayfield, president of Del-Nat Tire. “We are pleased that Del-Nat and our headquarters city of Memphis have been selected for the North American hub by this major international company.”
Appearing at a ceremony to announce the partnership at Del-Nat’s headquarters and distribution center in Memphis was Bing Liangguang, vice general manager of Doublestar Group Inc. and general manager of Doublestar Tire Inc.
