SEMA Show Day One: Conti has a winner

Nov. 1, 2011

Continental Tire the Americas LLC and GRAND-AM Road Racing announced that Charlotte, N.C., resident Henry Biedrzycki is the winner of the 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway. On Nov. 1, the 57 year-old Biedrzycki was handed the keys to an impressive pair of matching Porsche vehicles at the Continental Tire booth 43245 at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

He will take home both the 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche 911 GT3 (a Serial #1 of 1), and a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid, an award-winning luxury SUV. Joining Biedrzycki at the award ceremony will be his wife and three sons.

Biedrzycki, who works in the banking industry, entered the 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway on two separate occasions, each time making a $100 tax-deductible donation. The second time proved to be the charm for Biedrzycki, who was in total disbelief when he heard the news.

"On behalf of Continental Tire, we are thrilled to present Mr. Biedrzycki with the keys to not one, but two brand-new Porsche vehicles," said Travis Roffler, director of marketing, Continental Tire. "The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway was a great promotion for us. Anytime we can enhance a promotion with philanthropic efforts, it's a win for everyone. I'm proud that Continental Tire was able to help raise monies for two great organizations, such as the WorldCause Foundation and Camp Boggy Creek."

The promotion garnered more than $200,000 in net proceeds, which will be presented to two beneficiaries, WorldCause Foundation and Camp Boggy Creek, at the SEMA show award ceremony. WorldCause Foundation is a humanitarian organization and Camp Boggy Creek is a year-round medical camp for children, and is a member of the Association of Hole In The Wall Camps, co-founded by actor/philanthropist Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwartzkoph. Camp Boggy Creek is also the charity of choice for GRAND-AM Road Racing.
