Oct. 31, 2011

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. says its Proxes T1 Sport premium ultra-high performance tire is now available throughout the United States. That includes the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

The tire will be on display in booth No. 43097 at the Global Tire Expo-Powered by TIA segment of the show.

Track tested on the Nurburgring motorsports complex in Germany, the Proxes T1 Sport is designed to deliver "increased control and precision for true balance in both wet and dry handling," according to the company.

"State-of-the-art construction and design make this tire a perfect fit for sports sedans and coupes," says Marty Furman, chief operating officer. "Improvements over the Toyo Proxes T1R include better high-speed stability, precise steering response, improved braking performance and high cornering power at high speed."

The Proxes T1 Sport is available in 42 sizes. All the sizes will not be in the Toyo booth.

However, four vehicles will be on display in the booth. They are:

1. 2011 Dodge Durango "Heat Edition" 4x4 (with Proxes ST II tires);

2. 2011 Ford F-150 Raptor by Street Concepts (with Toyo Open Country M/T tires);

3. 2011 BMW 5 Series "F10 Black Bison" by Wald International (with Proxes T1 Sport tires); and

4. to be announced.

The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 1 through Nov. 4.
