Jerry Davis oversees Tire Lyna in the U.S.

Oct. 19, 2011

Lyna Manufacturing Inc. has named Jerry Davis managing director of its United States operations.

Lyna Manufacturing is based in North Vancouver, B.C. It produces Tire Lyna tire casing care, which is designed to protect the entire casing from heat and oxidation damage.

The biodegradable casing liner and sealant will self-seal punctures up to one-half-inch in over-the-road and off-the-road tires. Tire Lyna also is available in a non-aqueous line of products for truck and mining tires.

“We have the real world test data, independent laboratory data and fleet results to prove the cost advantages of Tire Lyna," says Davis, a longtjme automotive aftermarket industry veteran.

The company was founded in 1996 and currently supplies major fleets, off road and industrial tire users in Canada, the U.S., United Kingdom, Europe and South America. The original product was developed to help save tire casings for retreading. Additional products were developed to fill the void in industrial and off-road applications, according to President Noorez Devraj.

Tire Lyna is a SmartWay transport partner. The product -- and Davis -- will be on display at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nev., from Nov. 1-4. The Tire Lyna booth (No. 47183) is located in the South Hall, lower level, in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
