Sept. 19, 2011

Motul, a leader in motorcycle lubricants and chemicals, announces it is the official partner of the 24 Heures Moto.  This 24-hour motorcycle endurance classic takes place this weekend, September 24 – 25th, on the famed Bugatti Circuit Le Mans in France.  Some 90,000 spectators are expected to attend this premier event, while nine and a half hours are broadcast live on television throughout Europe thanks in part to Motul sponsorship.

The Motul colors will be carried on no less than 18 of the 62 entries -- some of the world’s most successful endurance teams are scheduled to compete.  Those partnering with Motul include the Monster Yamaha Austria Racing Team and National Moto Honda Team.  A local French favorite is the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, which is the current World Endurance Champion.  Suzuki Endurance Racing has won the 24 Heures Moto seven times along with a remarkable 10 world championship titles.

Motul has enjoyed long-established technical partnerships with many of these teams and is well known in both the World Endurance Championship and MotoGP. The specialists at Motul recognize that the Endurance Championship and the approximately 3,500 kilometer, 24 Heures Moto race; provide the ultimate test bench and living laboratory for its motorcycle products.  Numerous world championship title holders have benefited from Motul’s experience.

Products to be used by both factory teams and the large number of privateer teams entered in the 24-hour event include the Motul 300V Factory Line, Motul RBF 660 and the new Motul MC Care range of maintenance and care products.
