Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has been named a 2010 "Partner in Progress" for Sears Holdings Corp. The tire manufacturer received the award for demonstrating "the highest level of commitment, quality and innovation through its platform of passenger and light truck tires," according to Cooper.
Each year, Sears Holdings grants the prestigious "Partners in Progress" award to a select group of supplier companies. These suppliers provide Sears Holdings with quality products and services. Of the more than 30,000 suppliers that work with Sears Holdings, fewer than 1% receive the award.
"This recognition is a testament to the importance Sears places on having strong supplier relationships, and at the same time, it underscores Cooper's commitment and dedication to delivering quality products and service," says Chris Ostrander, president of Cooper's North America tire operations. The "Partners in Progress" recipients are selected from nominations submitted by Sears Holdings’ associates who purchased goods and services from suppliers in 2010. The award recognizes suppliers for product or service quality, innovation, diversity and overall market performance.
