Kazumasa Kimura is DENSO International America Inc.'s new chief operating officer. As COO, Kimura will oversee the company’s overall sales operations in North America.
In addition to his duties as COO, Kimura also will serve as one of parent company DENSO Corp.’s executive directors. Prior to being appointed to these roles, Kimura was director of the Global Sales and Business Development Division of DENSO Corp. where he was responsible for global OE sales and marketing.
Kimura "extensive experience in sales and marketing will help strengthen sales functions and improve customer satisfaction in North America," according to Denso Corp.
DENSO Corp.'s consolidated global sales for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, totaled $37.7 billion. DENSO spent 9.3% of that on research and development.
The North American market represents 17% of DENSO's global sales.
