Curry's Auto will open doors to its eighth store

May 30, 2011

Curry's Auto Service will open its first Maryland location Aug. 1, 2011, in Gaithersburg, after having signed a 10-year lease with Alex Associates LLC.

The 5,500-square-foot location will be the eighth for the Sterling, Va.-based dealership. It features six service bays.

The opening of the Gaithersburg store will represent the third store opening in eight months for Curry's Auto,  which opened a store at Dulles Town Center on November 15 and a store in the City of Fairfax on April 4 (see "Curry's says hello to store number seven").

"I chose this location in Gaithersburg because it is right on Route 355, close to Lakeforest Mall and to the major commuter Route 270, as well as close to Shady Grove Metro Station," says President Matt Curry.

"The demographics in the area lean towards our target market, and Maryland deserves a high quality, friendly and honest full service professional repair shop. We plan to continue our expansion, and I am looking into other opportunities in Maryland as well as Northern Virginia."

Curry's operates seven shops in northern Virginia. It is one of the largest independent service and repair shops in the Washington, D.C., area, with more than 4,500 customer interactions each month at its shops in Arlington, Chantilly, Dulles, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Gainesville and Great Falls/Reston.
