Love's opens another truck tire center

May 22, 2011

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores recently opened its second tire care and lube center this year. The company plans to add 50 such locations to its network of more than 220 travel stops this year.

The new location was added to the eight-year-old Love’s Travel Stop in St. Joseph, Mo. It offers lube services, oil changes, tire sales and minor repairs.

The addition of truck tire care and lube centers to its existing locations is part of its planned capital expenditures of $230 million in 2011.

“Love’s is committed to providing the best possible facilities and services that matter to the driving public,” says Tom Love, chairman and CEO. “We have listened to customer feedback when designing these improvements, which will make our travel stops more appealing and convenient.”

Love's has travel stops in more than 30 states. It's growth rate is approximately 15 stores per year. It debuted it's truck tire care concept, which also offers roadside assistance, at select travel stop locations in 2008.

The outlets that offer tires sell Michelin, BFGoodrich and Double Coin truck tires.

Love’s is ranked No. 15 on the most recent "Forbes" listing of America’s 500 largest private companies. For more information, visit www.loves.com.
