Tanaka replaces Oishi at Yokohama Tire Corp.

Takao Oishi, CEO and president of Yokohama Tire Corp., is going back to the parent company in Japan.

Oishi, who also serves as a managing corporate officer for Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., officially will be promoted to director after the general meeting of shareholders June 29, 2011. He also will become general manager of the Industrial Products Business Group, and will remain a managing corporate officer.

Replacing Oishi as CEO and president of Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) in Fullerton, Calif., is Yasushi Tanaka, who also serves as a corporate officer.

Oishi was named CEO and president of YTC in April 2008.
