Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket’s new VDO 2011 TPMS Replacement Parts Catalog has been significantly expanded to include the latest additions to the company’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) replacement parts programs.
The new VDO catalog showcases the new VDO REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors as well as expanded TPMS OE application coverage on domestic, European and Asian vehicles. The 2011 catalog also features a separate application section for tire pressure sensors and an illustrated buyer’s guide with individual listings for sensor assemblies, service kits and wheel bands.
The 2011 catalog features the full line of VDO TPMS service parts and includes descriptions, photos, illustrations, technical and ordering information, installation tips, service kit guide, make/model index, an OE cross reference and REDI-Sensor OE cross reference.
Highlighted are new are REDI-Sensor Multi-application TPMS Sensors. In addition to the multi-application coverage, they work with all major scan tools, require no special programming, and relearn to the vehicle using the OE process.
VDO REDI-Sensor sensors offer simplicity, ease of installation and profit potential for TPMS service, the company says. These sensors come pre-programmed and have a faster scan tool hunt mode and relearn process than competitive aftermarket sensors, which results in a quicker service turnaround.
The VDO OE TPMS Replacement Parts program also has been expanded with new applications added for domestic, Asian and European vehicles and offers coverage for over 35 million vehicles. Applications now include models from Acura, Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, KIA, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo as well as exciting new coverage for Nissan.
The VDO program is also the a replacement source for dealer-identical Ford/Mercury/Lincoln/Mazda TPMS wheel mounting bands, which up to now have only been available from the OE dealer, Continental notes.
