Kumho back at the Classic Motorsports Mitty 2011

This is one of the largest classic car events on the East Coast and returning proud sponsor Kumho Tire USA is excited to a part of yet another heart pumping, engine thumping automotive extravaganza.

The Classic Motorsports Mitty began in 1978 and over the years has become a tradition for fans of vintage racing. This year is no different with an incredible variety of historically significant race cars being displayed both for show and whizzing around the track. This event includes IMSA Camel GT, SCCA Trans-Am, Can-Am, Formula 1, CART and even NASCAR Winston cup cars. Mazda is this year’s featured marque, marking the first time a Japanese brand will be honored at a vintage event.   Famous Mazda race car driver Jim Downing will be the guest of honor and will be recognized for his many accomplishments.

Kumho Tire USA will yet again offer its valued Dealers and event goers the amazing opportunity to drive a Kumho-equipped Mazda MX-5 around the Mitty’s infield autocross course.  Featured tires include Kumho’s extreme performance Ecsta XS, max performance Ecsta LE Sport and the competition ready Ecsta V710.   Friday, April 29th is devoted purely to Kumho’s valued Dealers and Retail partners and the 250 confirmed guests include VIPs from Kauffman Tire, Discount Tire Co. and American Tire Distributors.  Saturday, April 30th is open to all spectators and consumers at the Walter Mitty event eager for a chance to test Kumho’s Ecsta line of performance tires.  The ride and drive is a completely free activity where automotive enthusiasts will get the chance to get their adrenaline pumping and live out a race-car driver’s experience.
