No more retreads: Fire guts shop

Order Reprints

If you have one retread shop, and it burns down, what are you going to do? That's a question Pete Kearing had to answer recently.

Kearing, owner of Westover Bandag in Chicopee, Mass., found himself with a burned out shell of a retread plant on March 28, and customers who needed his services.

Find out what happened in the aftermath of the fire in Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich's latest blog, "In the wake of a devastating plant fire, retreader Pete Kearing gets a little help from his friends."

Have you experienced a similar loss? Or do you just want to sound off on the blog? Either way, please leave a comment!
