East Bay Tire turns 65

March 25, 2011

East Bay Tire Co.  is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.

The company was founded by Joe Fuetsch in Oakland, Calif., in 1946. After many years in Oakland, it was moved to Fairfield, Calif. Currently there are wholesale and commercial locations throughout California (Fresno, Sacramento, Benicia, Pittsburg, Fairfield and Milpitas) and Hawaii.

East Bay Tire is now owned by George and Joe M. Pehanick. This past January, George’s son, Joe J. Pehanick, became the fourth generation of Pehanicks to work at the company.

“East Bay Tire has one of the largest and most diverse inventories around," the company says. “We have been supplying our customers with top-of-the-line dealer services and quality name brand tires since 1946.“

The company reports it continues to grow, adding new product lines which include The Dawg Pound specialty tires and agricultural tire lines Farm Dawg and Turf Dawg.
