A new Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tire is in the planning stages.
According to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC, the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval AS will be available in 38 P-metric and metric sizes, ranging from P225/60R16 97H to 225/50R18 103W.
* H- and V-rated sizes are expected to be backed by a 50,000-mile limited tread wear warranty, with a Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTQG) System rating of 460;
* W-rated sizes are expected to be backed by a 40,000-mile limited tread wear warranty, with a UTQG rating of 400.
The target fitments for the all-season tire include the Pontiac G8, Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang.
The Firehawk Wide Oval AS is backed by a 30-day "buy and try guarantee."
