Nexen Tire America Inc. has promoted John Aben from vice president of sales and marketing to senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Aben joined Nexen after leaving Hankook Tire America Corp. in 2005. Prior to that he worked for Winston Tire Co. and then Performance Management Inc., which purchased the 132-store, Burbank, Calif.-based chain in 2001.
At Performance Management, he was named a vice president of sales and operations, with responsibility for Southern California.
Aben has been a fixture in the tire industry since 1981, when he started working for NTW.
