Federal races into motorsports Web presence

Federal Tire Corp. is expanding its motorsports involvement with the introduction of a new Web site (www.federalmotorsports.com) to promote Federal Tire Motorsports. The company says its Federal Research and Development division has contributed to motorsports with its high-performance tires, and the time is right to expand that contribution with a Web presence.

“I have seen in recent years that Federal has put an increasing focus on the diverse field of motorsports challenges in our industry — from both consumers and trading standards points of view — as we promise to provide our customers with the best innovative experience possible,” says Federal’s Director of Global Sales Henry Lin. “In cooperation with pro racing teams, Federal is ready to develop technical evolutions to the current tires for the future. In addition, the newly printed Federal motorsports catalogues have shown to racing enthusiasts and professionals that we are seriously committed and well-equipped for motorsports.”

Federal’s motorsports activities have included sponsoring Matt Dennison from the U.S. who raced in the Redline Time Attack in 2010. Federal Motorsports Division has also sponsored the U.K.’s Phil Morrison of Team Federal Tyres Driftworks, who won the British Drift Championship series in 2010.

Federal Tire is the official tire supplier for the Malaysian Super Series and Sepang S1K in Southeast Asia, the Ma5da Cup and Nippon Challenge Racing Series in the U.K., the D1 Street Legal Drifting Series in Japan and Asphalt Legend Cars Racing in the U.S.
