Continental Tire helping sick kids with Porsche giveaway

March 10, 2011

The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway fundraising event is taking place from now until Oct. 15, 2011, to raise money for seriously ill children and offer entrants the chance to win special edition Porsches.

Sponsored by WorldCause Foundation and in conjunction with Grand-Am, the grand prizes are a 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 and a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid.

The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway program was developed to benefit charities such as Camp Boggy Creek, the official charity of Grand-Am, and WorldCause Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing help to those in abject poverty with a special emphasis on easing the suffering of children.

The 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 was named after Motorsports Hall of Famer and GRAND-AM Racing legend Hurley Haywood, who is also the chief driving instructor for Porsche of America and a member of the Brumos Racing team.

The matching 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid SUV averages can go from zero to 60 in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 mph. Both vehicles will come completely outfitted with a brand-new set of top-of-the-line Continental Tires.
