Bridgestone names Rodgers director for ag tires

Tom Rodgers has been promoted to director of sales and marketing, agricultural tire, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales Division (BAAG), Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations.

He was most recently director, marketing, sales support and strategic management, BAAG.

In his expanded role, Rodgers will manage the channel supply strategy between the company’s original equipment and replacement markets, the company notes. In addition, he will work with the sales team to continue to provide technology and service to and through the company’s original equipment customers and Certified Dealer network to meet the needs of production agriculture.

Rodgers also will continue with his current marketing duties, including responsibility for marketing and promotions, sales support, budgeting and forecasting, pricing, product development and field engineering.

“Tom has brought a tremendous amount of knowledge of the agriculture industry to the BAAG team, both from his professional as well as his personal background,” says Ken Allen, president, BAAG. “He has a passion for agriculture and has a great understanding of this industry and opportunities in front of Bridgestone Americas.”

Rodgers joined BAAG in July 2007as the manager of marketing and specialty. Before joining Bridgestone Americas, Rodgers worked for John Deere with responsibilities in the areas of supply management and agricultural marketing and product support.
