The Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) had its best year yet in 2010, reports Michael Cox, president and CEO, with highlights including adding eight new shareholders.

"2010 results added up to be the best year by far for the Independent Tire Dealers Group," says Cox. "With the increase in purchases from existing members, several new key vendors, and the expansion of our geographic footprint through the addition of new members, the group experienced a top line growth of 40% and a comp increase of 31%.

"We had 16 new members join the group in 2010 representing 54 locations, bringing the total to 364," Cox adds. "In addition, we had eight members qualify for and become shareholders. These new shareholders bring the total to 67.

"Our success is a true indication that the program provides a 'value proposition' for a diverse population of independent tire dealers."

The ITDG now has 128 members representing 364 tire and service center locations in 26 states.
