Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted Rick Navarro to senior vice president of business development and integration.
Navarro replaces Clark Sprang, who has retired after 37 years with Goodyear.
Navarro joined Goodyear as vice president of business development in October. He was formerly senior vice president of corporate development for Solectron Corp.
Bob Keegan, chairman, CEO and president of Goodyear, said Sprang was highly involved in the company's global expansion over the last decade. "He led teams that negotiated our joint ventures with Sumitomo Rubber Industries, and directed our investments in low-cost operations in China, South Africa, Poland and Slovenia."
