Laurie Breininger has been named a director of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. by the company's board of directors. She replaces John Fiedler, who has resigned after being a director of the company since April 2002.
Breininger is president of the Bath & Kitchen Products-Americas Group of American Standard Companies. American Standard is a global manufacturer with market positions in three businesses: air conditioning systems and services; bath and kitchen products; and vehicle control systems, including electronic braking and air suspension systems.
Breininger has served as a group president of American Standard since joining the company in 2000.
Her previous executive appointments include stints with Honeywell Corp., where she served as vice president of sales and marketing for the commercial vehicle systems division, and Whirlpool Corp., where she served as the general manager of North American brands.
