O.K. Tire and Castrol support Child Find BC

Nov. 12, 2003

O.K. Tire Stores Inc. dealers and Castrol North America recently donated $19,000 to Child Find BC to support the idea that "a missing child is everyone's responsibility."

During the months of July through September, participating O.K. Tire dealers donated $1.50 for every Castrol oil change completed in their stores, and Castrol matched the dealers' donations.

The tire chain collected the funds in a continuing effort to reinforce their commitment to being good corporate citizens and support local communities, the company says.

Child Find BC is a network of charitable, non-profit organizations that deliver services to families whose children are missing.

O.K. Tire is one of the largest distribution groups in North America with more than 235 independent tire and auto service locations across Canada. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
