Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp.'s new Proxes 4 all-season ultra-high performance tire is already available in 17-, 18- and 19-inch sizes, Toyo officials announced at the International Tire Expo (ITE).
The tire is the latest in Toyo's Proxes line.
During the first quarter of 2004, it will be available in 15-, 16- and 20-inch sizes.
The V- and W-rated tire is designed for sport compacts, sports sedans and coupes.
The Proxes 4 will compete against tires like the Yokohama AVS dB S2, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, the BFGoodrich g-force T/A, the Continental ContiExtremeContact and the Pirelli PZero Nero.
Its technical features include a curving center rib, multi-wave sipe design, silica-reinforced compounding and paired shoulder blocks, say Toyo officials.
Each tire also will include a "4" logo embedded in its grooves.
