Yokohama Tire Corp. has introduced several tires at this year's International Tire Expo (ITE), including the AVID H4s/V4s.
The AVID H4s/V4s will be available this coming spring in 33 H- and V-rated sizes.
The tire ranges in diameter from 14 to 18 inches and will cover 90% of the market, according to Yokohama officials.
"The focus of the tire is performance and comfort."
The AVID H4s/V4s comes with a 60,000-mile warranty and a 30-day free trial.
Technical features include staggered block design, four wide circumferential grooves, multiple cross grooves and a continuous center rib.
On the commercial side, Yokohama also has rolled out the TY577, a premium long-haul drive tire available in four sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 285/75R14.5 and 11R24.5. All sizes come with a 14-ply rating.
In addition, Yokohama's Geolander H/T-S light truck tire will come in size 305/40R22 in February 2004.
"By adding a 22-inch tire to the Geolander line, we are better able to fit almost any light truck or SUV," say Yokohama officials.
