ACCC, CTNA take kids out to the ballgame

Sept. 26, 2003

American Car Care Centers Inc. (ACCC) and Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) recently took kids from the Lowell, Mass.-based chapter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Adams Project, an area summer camp, to a Lowell Spinners minor league baseball game.

ACCC and CTNA also provided the kids with hats, baseballs, concessions and stadium spending money.

During the game, the Spinners, a Boston Red Sox farm team, also acknowledged CTNA's donation of $1,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

In other ACCC news, the company is providing smoke alarms for its members in conjunction with Operation Fire Safe, a federally funded program.
