Goodyear prepares to appoint sales director for Asia

Aug. 18, 2003

Yuichi Yoshizawa will take over as sales director of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s Asia region on Sept. 1. He will replace Roger Hagstrom, who is retiring after 38 years.

Yoshizawa, marketing director for Goodyear Thailand, worked for Bridgestone Corp. in Japan and the United States for 17 years prior to joining Goodyear in 1998.

He will report to Hugh Pace, president of Goodyear Asia.

Yoshizawa brings extensive experience in a number of Asian markets to the job. "His broad experience is a perfect fit for Goodyear as it continues its rapid growth in this important region," says Pace.

Hagstrom was promoted to sales director of Goodyear Asia five years ago. He developed and implemented a comprehensive strategic selling process that became "a key driver of Goodyear growth initiatives in the Asia region," according to the company.
