July 29, 2003

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has made a number of changes in its consumer replacement tire and truck tire sales organizations.

The appointments, which will go into effect Aug. 1, are as follows:

* Art Campagnoni has been promoted to director of truck tire sales. In his new position, he will oversee original equipment and replacement truck tire sales in the United States and Canada. He is currently general manager for the company's North-Central Region.

"Art has a broad base of experience that will serve him well as he addresses the needs of our original equipment and replacement tire customers, especially during these challenging economic times," says Singh Ahluwalia, president, truck and bus tires.

* John Baratta has been promoted to director of consumer retail tire sales. In his new assignment Baratta will be responsible for sales to the company’s retail dealers, including corporate accounts.

* Rudy Beach has been promoted to director of consumer tire sales, distributor key accounts. In his new position Beach will be responsible for sales to the company’s wholesale distributors.

The consumer tire sales assignments were designed to build upon the successful creation of separate retail dealer and distributor sales forces in 2001, according to John Gamauf, president, consumer replacement tire.

Campagnoni, Baratta and Beach are all 20 year-company veterans.
