Mickey Thompson tires and wheels are featured in the new Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie, "Cradle of Life."
Croft's modified Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is outfitted with 35x13.50R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials and 17x9 Classic II Wheels. The Jeep also is featured in 30-second Jeep commercials nationwide.
"We were surprised to be featured in such a big movie, but are not surprised that the prop builders selected our tires and wheels because of our great reputation as a leader in the off-road business” stated Ken Warner, vice president of marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires, a division of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.
"Jeep is promoting a limited edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to be sold at dealerships with a smaller wheel & tire package, but we are receiving many calls from restylers and local tire dealers wanting to change over to the larger and more aggressive Mickey Thompson tire and wheel package as seen in the movie."
The movie debuts in theaters nationwide today, everywhere on Friday July 25th.
