Federal's sales hit record high

Taiwanese tire manufacturer Federal Corp.'s overseas sales totaled $10.2 million last month, a record for the company.

Federal's first quarter 2003 sales totaled $26.4 million, a 16% increase vs. the same period in 2002.

"Sales growth has been achieved through the success (of) our distribution channels, leveraging our valuable brand and stronger advertising," says Federal President Jamie Ma.

"We will continue to intensify our sales and marketing efforts in the replacement market."

Ma adds that Federal has achieved near-record sales highes each month this year.
