Richard L. Wambold is Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s new board member.
He replaces Edsel Dunford, who is retiring after nine years on the company's board.
Wambold will serve the remainder of Dunford's term, which expires in May 2005.
He is chairman and CEO of Pactiv Corp., a $.9 billion-a-year provider of advanced packaging solutions. Previously, he served 22 years with Tenneco Automotive.
