Mitas A.S., a European-based manufacturer of bias and radial farm and OTR tires, has named Zdenek "Dennis" Vavrik president of its United States subsidiary.
Vavrik is responsible for expanding the American dealer base, particularly in the central and western states, for Mitas U.S. Inc. He will be assisted by longtime industry veteran Don Dominguez, marketing director of Import Associates in Clearwater, Fla.
Vavrik will report to Mitas board member Tomas Nemec, chairman of the Mitas Advisory Committee, and Jaroslav Musil, Mitas' commercial director.
Most recently, Vavrik was active in the automotive and tire industry as managing director of a prominent trading company in Australia.
Mitas supplies Europe's replacement and original equipment market with OTR, farm and implement tires produced at its Praque and Zlin, Czech Republic, facilities. Mitas U.S. Inc. is based in Upper Saddle River, N.J.
